The Grimm's Brothers and Hans Christian Andersen's well loved stories adapted for puppetry by the P& T Puppet Theatre! These stories are known by all. Each one teaches gentle lessons on time honored values.
Forty minutes in length, the show features two tales:
Rapunzel
Rapunzel falls prey to an evil witch's designs. Her long hair is the means of her rescue.
Lessons learned: Be wary of strangers, don't be fooled by lies. Use your wits when in trouble.
The Princess and the Pea
A king and his advisor devise a contest with the goal of obtaining a bride for the king's son. The true princess is discovered by her gentleness.
Lessons learned: One's social status doesn't have to determine one's fate. Your inner qualities will help develop your destiny.
Type of puppets: Traditional hand puppets, 18" tall. This show encourages response from the audience. Performed in the tradition of street puppet theatre.
Set up: 8’x6’x7’. One outlet (15 amp). Complete with lights and sound system. One performer. (Natural light or darkened auditorium. Outside performance ok if protected from wind).
Audience: Up to 250, Suitable for family entertainment, schools, preschools, libraries.
