New Puppet Show for Summer 2008! Available in June, book now!

The Grasshopper and the Ant

This show fits in with the California Library Summer Reading Program theme "Get the Reading Bug @ Your Library!"
Perfect for preschools, schools, summer camps, and birthday parties too.

This show includes three tales from Aesop's Fables listed below.

The Grasshopper and the Ant

A timeless tale! A foolish grasshopper plays his fiddle while his cousin, ant, works hard to store food for winter. When winter comes, he realizes his error. Dramatic, heartwarming, with good lessons on hardwork, kindness, and being true. Set to the music of Vivaldi.

The Tortoise and the Hare

A hare challenges a tortoise to a race. The overconfident hare decides to take a nap since he's so far ahead. The persistent tortoise wins the race, proving the old adage, "It's not over til it's over!". Hilarious, with a great lesson on perserverence. Set to the music of Offenbach.

Androcles and the Lion

A runaway slave helps a lion in distress, only to be captured by a roman soldier. Androcles is then thrown to the lions! To his surprise, the lion is the same one he helped. A touching tale that encourages compassion, charity, and truthfullness. Set to the music of Ravel.
